Columbus hospital to add 60 rooms, emergency department

May 2, 2007

A $70 million expansion of Columbus Regional Hospital will result in 60 new rooms and a new emergency department, the hospital said today.

The project is intended to alleviate overcrowding and create private rooms, which patients are beginning to expect.

BSA LifeStructures of Indianapolis and Robert A.M. Stern Architects LLP of New York wrote the plan upon which the expansion is based.
