Steel Dynamics a target? Fortune says it’s ‘possible’

If you’re up to the risky game of betting on which company will be next to announce it’s being gobbled up, Fortune says Steel Dynamics Inc. is worth considering.

The Fort Wayne-based steelmaker could be swept up in an industry consolidation that’s underway, the magazine said. It posted a red-hot first quarter, has been buying its own stock with cash, and the shares are trading below 12 times earnings.

The magazine relied on Chicago’s Harris Private Bank to ferret out companies with plenty of cash flow yield and steady, sustainable growth in cash flow.
