Tropicana Entertainment says profit at its Casino Aztar in downtown Evansville was hurt in the quarter ended March 31 by the opening of the new casino in the southern Indiana community of French Lick.
Profit fell 16 percent, to $9.3 million, on a 9.5 percent drop in gambling revenue, according to The Evansville Courier & Press. Tropicana is owned by Fort Mitchell, Ky.-based Columbia Sussex.
