St. Vincent boasts of four NBA draft picks

June 29, 2007

St. Vincent Sports Performance Center got to pound its chest a bit last night.

Four of its clients were selected in National Basketball Association draft-including Greg Oden, the Indianapolis native picked first by the Portland Trail Blazers.

The other clients include Indianapolis native Mike Conley Jr. at No. 4; Daequan Cook, a teammate of Oden and Conley's at Ohio State University, at No. 21; and former Purdue University player Carl Landry at No. 31.

St. Vincent's Sports Performance Center teams with Champions Academy, a basketball-training program, to prepare top collegiate prospects for pre-draft camps and the NBA draft.

Its program provides nutrition counseling, sports psychology, and strength and conditioning coaching.
