Monaco shutting Elkhart plant; workers can transfer to two other cities

Oregon RV maker Monaco Coach Corp. is consolidating its Indiana operations by closing an Elkhart factory and moving the work to two other Indiana plants. The 350 workers in Elkhart will be offered jobs at facilities in Warsaw and Wakarusa. The factory affected makes the Holiday Rambler and McKenzie fifth-wheel and travel-trailer recreational vehicles. The change is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
