Hancock job training group in financial peril

June 1, 2007
Alliance for Community Education, a not-for-profit that offers job training in Hancock County east of Indianapolis, faces an uncertain future because it is generating only $36,000 in annual revenue instead of the target income of $140,300.

If more funding isn't found, its resources will be drained by the end of the year, according to the Daily Reporter of Greenfield.

Community leaders fret that Indiana Tech, Indiana Wesleyan University, Ivy Tech Community College and Vincennes University draw $8 million a year from county residents who don't attend Alliance classes.
