Intec to close Morocco plant, lay off 165 workers

An auto parts plant in Morocco in northwest Indiana is being closed by its Palatine, Ill., parent, Intec Group Inc.

The work will be spread among Intec plants in Palatine, Mexico and China in order to cut costs, according to the Journal & Courier of Lafayette.

The Morocco plant mainly supplied Delphi Corp., which is closing 28 of 32 facilities as part of its bankruptcy reorganization.
