The Indiana Gaming Commission has approved the purchase of Resorts East Chicago by Las Vegas-based Ameristar Casinos Inc.
Ameristar is buying a subsidiary of Las Vegas-based Resorts International Holdings LLC that owns and operates Resorts East Chicago for $675 million.
