Peoples Management Resource, a New York development company, is negotiating to buy as many as 800 acres near Daleville for a possible entertainment and recreation complex, according to the The Star Press in nearby Muncie.

The project near Interstate 69 and State Road 67 would include hotels, stores, an indoor water park and a skating rink, the newspaper reported, quoting business consultants who are attempting to negotiate options on the property. About 1,800 jobs would be created.

Such a project might draw from Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Chicago.
