Gov. Mitch Daniels revealed little detail when he told a real estate gathering last week that a major economic development announcement was imminent. But hints of the upcoming announcement are buried in a log of projects kept by the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

The log includes a project with 1,134 jobs and a $15 million investment that closed Dec. 13 but has not been formally announced. A closing means the company has committed to the project and accepted the economic development incentives.

Corporation spokesman Mitch Frazier said it is not known when the project will be announced. He would not comment further.

A source familiar with the project said the announcement will be an expansion in central Indiana of a company already operating in the state.
