Kroger starting 'television network'

February 22, 2008
Kroger Co., the grocery chain headquartered in Cincinnati, said today it is starting a "television network" that will pipe video into employee break rooms and possibly other locations.

The video will tout everything from Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels' InShape Indiana health program to communications with food bank personnel.

Production of the videos for the central division, which includes 154 stores in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio, will take place in a three-room studio that will be added to Kroger's division base in Castleton.

The network will be called KTV and be spearheaded by Coco Bill, the division's customer communications leader.
