Indianapolis to lose one Starbucks location

Starbucks Corp. plans to close a location at 3021 W. 16th St. as part of a downsizing that the Seattle coffee giant blames on a slow economy and decline in consumer confidence.

About 600 stores will be shuttered nationwide in the pull-back, Starbucks announced July 1.

Only one other Indiana location will close, in the northeastern Indiana town of Bluffton.
