Hamilton County will get a second Big Woods restaurant.

The restaurant, headquartered in Nashville, will open its seventh location at Hazel Dell Crossing in Noblesville, near Hazel Dell Road and 146th Street.

The new 7,700 square-foot restaurant will open this winter at 14741 Hazel Dell Crossing in a space that formerly housed a Giuseppe’s Italian Market. Renovations of the space are already underway.

In late 2017, the company announced it planned to open its first location north of Indianapolis in Westfield, near the southwest corner of U.S. 31 and State Road 32. The restaurant is still in the planning stage, and an opening date has yet to be announced. When it eventually opens, it will be the company’s eighth location.

“Growing demand on the north side of Indianapolis made the decision to expand to Noblesville a no-brainer,” Big Woods co-founder and Executive Chairman Jeff McCabe said in written comments.“Our goal is to make this new location a thriving restaurant providing a one-of-a-kind dining experience for everyone to enjoy.”

Last year, Big Woods restaurants served 780,000 guests.

Big Woods Hazel Dell will offer a menu similar to those in Speedway in Franklin, featuring both pizza and brew-pub selections alongside craft beverages from affiliate brands Quaff ON! Brewing Co. and Hard Truth Distilling Co.

The restaurant will seat about 250 people, including 40 patio seats, and will have two private rooms for party rentals. There will be bar seating and family-friendly dining.

Big Woods Hazel Dell will employ 80 people.

Big Woods Restaurants has locations in Bloomington, Speedway and Franklin plus three locations in Nashville—Big Woods the Original, Big Woods Pizza and Big Woods Hard Truth Hills.
