  1. Bill, It’s hard to be active leader and start new initiatives when the city won’t answer their phones. I’ve been hearing crickets chirping from that end for 5 years now. NapTown for sure.

  2. Well put Bill, and timely. Indy has accomplished much over the past 2-3 decades. Our current set of issues, in many ways are different from the 70’s and 80’s but still require an engaged and yes inspired community. Reduced government resources and talent have resulted in the fracturing of the public-private partnerships that Indianapolis was so well known for.

    I have worked in communities across the country over the past 30 years. Indy’s leadership when focused, is second to none. The job of striving for yet greater heights requires long term investment in time and talent. Informed and calculated risk taking are necessary parts of the equation. It is time to re-engage.
