It might make sense for now, especially since the Meta hyperscale data center will be using all the available electricity, that Lilly isn’t using.
I wish somebody would press these pro-data center stooges how they’ll grow wages in the state? They have very few permanent workers so any job creation is mostly due to construction in the short term. You know what we can prove raises wages with real data, though? Investing in quality childcare, education, and natural resources/cultural amenities for communities.

Unfortunately, Indiana is getting what citizens voted for – a super-majority republican legislature that hates public education and chases big, shiny things like this development and the Bears’ stadium. Both of which require taxpayers to foot the bill. The legislature approved all these incentives for data centers in 2019.
