    1. A rock with an “R” on it could beat Morales. I’m not so sure anybody with a “D” next to their name could win in Indiana, so sadly yes, he may lose.

    1. Republicans will replace Diego with a safe candidate.

Democrats in Indiana haven’t run a winning statewide campaign in a decade.

    2. Well, Joe, the pendulum swings as sure as the sun rises. Why can’t the swing happen in 2026? As a former Republican, Beau will get my vote.

    3. No Democrat in this state has gotten north of 47% of the vote in a statewide election since Joe Donnelly in 2012. Heck, Evan Bayh couldn’t manage 43% of the vote in 2016.

I don’t think the party has the ground game, the messaging, or the platform to pick up enough votes statewide. They’re as incompetent as the Marion County Republican Party. I’d love to be proven wrong as the state would be better with two competitive parties, just like how Indianapolis would be better with two actual choices for mayor.

    1. Captain in the Marine Corps and Harvard law degree. Both of which best our current SOS – who was, additionally, fired from the SOS office prior due to unacceptable performance.

    2. That did not significantly matter in the last election. Diego won by 14%.

Indiana Democrats haven’t gotten near 45% in statewide election in a decade, no?

  1. 3 of his 4 plans for the office have basically nothing to do with the office. I expected more from a third generation dynasty candidate. Of course he the looks and the name.

    1. If spending time on duties not germane to the office and using your platform to run for higher offices was disqualifying … we’d have impeached the current officeholder a year ago.

  2. Surprise, surprise. Here comes yet another Bayh doing the family carpet bagger business. The family business of course is political office. I’m sure they’ve made a fortune at it for decades now. Amazing how Dems get mesmerize by this family dynasty bs.

    1. A fortune? Seriously? Take a look at what the IN SOS makes. And compare that to a typical Harvard graduate. You might be surprised.

  3. Morales was fired from the S.O.S. office twice . Ran for office and voted in Hendricks county while residing in Marion county violating the election laws he is now been charged with enforcing by the super stupid super majority party electing him to the S.O.S. Office. After which former Gov. Holcomb created the assistant . S.O.S. Position then hired a lawyer to run the S.O.S. Office . Leaving Morales time to flutter about like the party gadfly he is.

    1. And yet Morales beat Destiny “combat vet” Wells by double digits. Has there ever been a worse candidate in a statewide race than Destiny Wells? Maybe Glenda Ritz

      Say No to Beau
