  1. If we have $50M to spend providing daycare for low income families, why don’t we allocate some money to help with daycare startups? Let’s review all the requirements to start and run a daycare and streamline the process so more people can become daycare providers? I would rather see my tax dollars spent helping someone start a business and become self-sufficient than be doled out to provide something that the parents should be paying for.
    Yes–daycare is important to have readily available so parents can be dependable employees and provide for thier families, but tax dollars would be better used giving people a hand up.
