  1. Just please no. I think we all have had enough of him and his empty promises and backroom schemes. We need a mayor that won’t go into hiding or can’t be reached when the city is going through crisis. We need a mayor that cares for all parts of the city…not just the north side and downtown.

  2. The truth is that if this clown show runs, he will be elected. The Dems are bought and paid for and worse the Republicans just stopped showing up. So, the dirty shoes and wife are gone, the lights are still not on, and the city has descended into a filthy homeless camp where people have stopped going downtown short of a Colts or Fever game.

    1. None of what Donald says is true, as usual. Hogsett will lose embarrassingly in a primary and downtown is thriving and more connected than ever thanks to its residents not being scared to go outside like Donald clearly is.

    2. Hogsett sucks and the Republicans can’t govern to save their life (see the disaster that is the State), but the rest of your statement was nonsense. Downtown has problems, but your characterization is a wild hyperbole (which is par for the course for Republicans).

  3. Hogsett should just say ‘no’ now. He has deliberately put his constituents in harm’s way by inviting the data centers and making sure they got through. He doesn’t deserve another term.

    1. The data centers have to be built somewhere.
They also will employ many more people than you realize.
The data centers will require a lot of maintenance that will require many people in HVAC and construction on a continuous basis.

    1. Bad decisions by the city mayor and the city administration absolutely affect the surrounding communities.

  4. We need a pro-growth mayor that will focus on economic growth & development. The current DMD seems dysfunctional. Is that a symptom of weak leadership from the current mayor??

    1. Keith, what does that even mean?

You know how Carmel and Fishers are growing? Spending lots of money on infrastructure, gladly paying every school referendum that comes along, and making their places nice to live.

Meanwhile, Indianapolis has most of its road funding stolen, the state limits what it can do in numerous ways, and every time they try to beautify the city, people whine about the efforts.

If you want to be in an environment interested in growth, Indiana is the wrong place to be. It’s crystal clear that state leadership doesn’t want growth, doesn’t want high paying jobs, doesn’t want schools churning out the STEM graduates we need to attract companies, doesn’t want to be a state that people want to move to. Our best and brightest young kids are fleeing.

We just keep cutting taxes and claiming that will do anything but turn the state into a home for data centers and distribution warehouses. That’s Honest To Goodness Indiana.
