    1. Similar to Gavin but he’s on both knees – a familiar position for dims from California (see Kamalalala Harris). dims cry hard while projecting.

    2. Hey Mike, riddle me this … if Trump has such a mandate and he’s so popular, like Republicans claim he is, why exactly did Texas have to kick off this nonsense at his behalf? Won’t they gladly re-elect them all?

Because this is the behavior of a party afraid of their voters who is desperate to stay in power, not a party with a mandate.

  1. let’s get the context correct here…the California redistricting proposal was a direct response to the Texas redistricting proposal. Until Texas acted, at the behest of the MAGAt in Chief, this issue was not on the radar. So California did unto Republicans what Texas did unto Democrats? And other states, like Indiana, were suddenly targeted by the MAGAt administration, and other Democrat states, like New York, began to investigate the possibilities.

But the time line all begins with Texas. And that was done at Trump’s behest. So let’s not criticize California and other Democratic states for responding to a direct provocation by MAGAt Republicans.

    1. lol So California is responding to what Texas is doing? So did Texas do something illegal? The fact of the matter is that Trump picked up a lot of votes in these so called democratic districts all over the country. So it’s fair to say that the maps should be redrawn to reflect the numbers in Trumps favor. The Dems are losing ground and there’s more registered Republicans than Dems in alot of these districts

    2. Lmfao, no, Kevin. That’s the dumbest thing anyone has ever said. “We picked up some votes and therefore we should be allowed to cheat and re-draw the lines mid-decade.” Dumb, dumb statement.

    3. As said above Kevin, re-drawing the lines is only something you do when you’re in a position of weakness and don’t actually have the mandate you claim you do. When you sold voters a bill of goods and didn’t deliver on them, and you’re not willing to face potential consequences.

  2. Interesting that an article finally notes the cost of these trips. The state is supposedly in budget crunch but legislators and travel for politics. If then we call a special session for this riduculous reason, more cost to the citizens. Wake up. It is not “keep your job bu appeasing the big one” but “HOW DO YOU BEST SERVE THE CITIZENS OF INDIANA???”

What happened to Government by the people and for the people??

  3. Before they move forward with this, Republicans should look to the Iowa state senate election whose results were announced yesterday. A democrat won overwhelmingly in a district that was Trump +11.5. If you dilute Trump +20 districts down to +10, and he continues to govern the way he is, this gerrymandering approach could backfire spectacularly and amplify the coming blue wave even more

  4. Very disappointing to see our state legislators behaving this way. Becky Cash, if you’re reading this – I have voted for you in the past but I while not be voting for you again. I want legislators who think for themselves and care about their constituents, not politicians that do everything Trump says.

  5. Trump and his minions have been screaming “rigged elections” for over five years now, so what is Trump and his minions doing? Rigging Elections be redrawing the lines to allow him to remain in power, and behold the great and powerful Trump will smite anyone not doing his bidding.
