Indiana’s death toll from COVID-19 reaches 2,500 amid rise in cases, testing

Following are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. The department updates its data daily based on information received through 11:59 p.m. the previous day.

Total cumulative cases reported Sunday: 48,008

Total cumulative cases reported Saturday: 47,432

Increase in cumulative cases: 576

Increase in cases reported June 29-July 5: 3,078

Increase in cases reported June 22-28: 2,507

COVID-19 deaths

New deaths: 6

Total deaths: 2,500

COVID-19 testing

*New tests: 9,510

Total cumulative tests reported Sunday: 521,722

Total cumulative tests reported Saturday: 512,288
