College sports are over as we knew them. It will be all about money, not loyalty or appreciation to the schools/teams. The box has been opened. Next up, paying high school athletes?
I agree with David. Many of the athletes will not be students. Do minimum to stay eligible and seek the money on way to pros. Mid major, and smaller schools will have real problems putting together competitive programs. Sad situation and NCAA sat on their hands for too long and did not address that was coming. Now they have no real function. Will become a group of major conferences action as pro leagues. I truly hope I am wrong but sure appears headed that direction.
How long will it be before there are NIL agreements in HS?
They already can transfer to another school!
