  1. Why is tech the only research-based industry that seems to be bound by no ethics or regulations? I work in clinical research. We HAVE to conduct this research in a globally compliant manner that minimizes risk to patients, it’s called Good Clinical Practice. Pharmaceutical product has to be manufactured in controlled environments, Good Manufacturing Practice. All of the data and documentation has to follow Good Documentation Practice. Any major issues with any of this and the drug might never get approved. It’s past time for a global technology ethics framework. If only we had an administration that was interested in being a global leader in ethics, and not just a global leader in committing war crimes and starting trade wars with our longtime allies.

  2. A standards and ethics board need to be established to monitor AI corporations. This board of standards and ethics also needs to be international. This needs to happen sooner than later.

Some of the stories from experts in AI are very alarming.
