I’m only in favor of re-drawing one district in America. If it rids Marion County of the most inept and ineffectual nepo-congressman ever to serve in the United States House of Representatives, it can’t happen fast enough.
That’s the cost of Republicans drawing districts to protect their 7-2 majority. A better question might be, why do they feel the Indianapolis area deserves only one House representative and voters in this area deserve to have their votes diluted?
I’m all for eliminating race in drawing districts. Let’s also eliminate the use of demographic information, voting registration information, previous electoral results, and where the current legislators live. Make voters pick legislators and not the other way around.
