This wooden advent house caught our eye as soon as we walked into Gathered-Roots Boutique on Main Street in Fortville.
It stands about 15 inches tall and lights up with batteries. Plus, you can add clues or small gifts—small pieces of candy would be great—to each of the drawers to create fun while you count down to Christmas. We can see it standing on a fireplace mantle or a console table (somewhere reachable for kiddos), adding a touch of Christmas that will complement any existing décor.
Right now, Gathered-Roots, located at 242 S. Main St., is offering 20% off its Christmas décor so you can get the advent house for around $30.
While we certainly think the boutique is worth visiting—it’s currently all decked out for Christmas with handmade Christmas-themed signs, candles and holders, trees and ornaments (we bought a couple)—you can also shop it all online at gathered-roots.com.
Year round, you’ll find a variety of farmhouse-style trends and locally made pieces at the boutique, which first opened its doors in 2017. The boutique also offers decorating services if interior design isn’t your thing.
