next year.
Attorney Tom McKenna of Carmel on Tuesday started a three-day series of appearances across the state
to kick off his campaign for the Democratic nomination for the post.
McKenna was the executive director of the
state Department of Commerce for five years under then-Lt. Gov. Joe Kernan. He later was a deputy chief of staff when Kernan
became governor.
Also seeking the Democratic nomination is Vop Osili, a founding partner of an Indianapolis architectural
firm.
Republican Fishers councilman Charlie White also has said he’ll run for the office.
Current Republican
Secretary of State Todd Rokita can’t seek a third term because of term limits.
