Veteran office broker John Robinson, one of the founders of locally based Meridian Real Estate, has left the firm and is working
on a new venture.

Robinson, 41, founded Meridian with Jeff Harris in
1993. Harris, who
remains as the company’s president, agreed to buy out Robinson’s interest in the company early this month. Both men described
the breakup as amicable.

Robinson kept his listings, which include the 1.2-million-square-foot Keystone at the Crossing office park. He called Meridian
a "great company," but said it was time to do something different. He’s still working on the details of what’s next.
