Madame Walker Theatre hires CEO

Terry Whitt Bailey, former director of Muncie’s Cornerstone Center for the Arts, will join the Madame Walker Theatre
Center in Indianapolis April 12 as president and CEO.

“We are thrilled that Terry Whitt Bailey has accepted our offer,” theater board Chairman Christopher Barney said
in a prepared statement. “Her background in arts management and the kind of leadership and creativity she displayed
at Cornerstone are exactly what we need to ensure a strong future.”

Bailey had been at Cornerstone since 2004. She is also president and state captain for the Indiana Coalition for the Arts.
She has a doctorate from Ball State University and recently received a doctor of ministry degree from Newburgh Theological
Seminary.
