January 10, 2011

Seventy-five employees of Milbank Manufacturing Co. will lose their jobs when the Kansas City, Mo.-based company closes its Kokomo plant in March.

Milbank notified the Indiana Department of Workforce Development on Friday of its plans to close the facility between March 8 and March 22.

The company said in the notice that “economic circumstances” led to the decision to close the plant.

Milbank was founded in 1927 and manufactures electric meter sockets and related equipment.

Besides Kansas City, Milbank has operations in Concordia, Mo., and El Dorado, Ark.
