Caterpillar Logistics Inc. plans to permanently lay off 84 employees from a distribution center in Greenfield, according to a notice filed with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
The company, a unit of Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar Inc., said the layoffs would begin May 1.
About 155 employees work at the facility in Mt. Comfort Commercial Park, according to the Hancock Economic Development Council. Cat Logistics handles distribution services for Wilmington, Ohio-based Irwin Industrial Tools at the site.
