The Cummins Technical Center will be capable of running a variety of engines and testing a wide range of fuels, the company said. The company plans to immediately hire 31 new engineers, mechanical technicians and electrical technicians.
Cummins Marine and Cummins MerCruiser Diesel, a joint venture, have manufacturing operations in Charleston.
