Thousands of young entrepreneurs will open lemonade stands this weekend in Indianapolis.
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and inventor Scott Jones will kick off Lemonade Day Friday morning at 10:30 by helping children sell the beverage on the south lawn of the Statehouse. All proceeds will benefit charities of the children's choosing.
More than 15,000 young people from pre-school age through high school will open lemonade stands across the greater Indianapolis area Saturday. Indianapolis is one of nearly 40 cities nationwide participating in the educational initiative dedicated to teaching children how to start and operate their own lemonade stand businesses.
