Facility Concepts Inc. on Indianapolis’ northwest side announced Monday that it has acquired Classico Seating in Peru, Ind., making FCI one of the largest commercial furniture manufacturers in the nation.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

FCI, located at 7676 Zionsville Road, manufactures furniture mostly for the restaurant and hospitality industries. Classico Seating makes chairs, barstools, and tables for restaurants and gaming establishments.

With the acquisition, FCI adds about 45 employees to the 55 it has locally and boasts 250,000 square feet in overall manufacturing space. FCI was founded in 2003.

The deal "allowed FCI to penetrate markets that we have not serviced historically,” said Kim Regan, FCI’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “It gives us a greater, broader product line and it gives us a stronger presence in the market.”

Classico Seating fell into receivership in February, according to the Peru Tribune.
