St. Elmo to be featured on cable television show

St. Elmo Steak House is famous for its shrimp cocktail. Now it's getting attention for a drink that uses the appetizer as an inspiration.

The Indianapolis restaurant will be featured on a cable television show Wednesday night for a cocktail that includes the horseradish used in its shrimp cocktail sauce.

"Drinking Made Easy" and host  Zane Lamprey recently traveled to Indianapolis to sample several of the city’s hotspots and their alcoholic concoctions.

At St. Elmo, Lamprey tries the extra-spicy Bloody Mary, which receives its added kick from the restaurant’s signature horseradish.

Other stops and drinks on the episode include:

—Ball & Biscuit and its Harrison Sicilian;

—Colglazier & Hobson Distilling Co. and its sweet sorghum spirit—Sorgrhum;

—Indianapolis Motor Speedway and its Fuzzy’s Checkered Flag Lemonade;

—Slippery Noodle Inn and its Horseshoe Shot;

—Sun King Brewing Co. and its Popcorn Pilsner.

"Drinking Made Easy" airs at 8 p.m. Wednesdays on AXS TV. The channel is available nationally on DirecTV, Dish Network, AT&T U-Verse, Verizon FiOS and on Comcast Corp.’s Xfinity.
