A note to heartily second your thoughts [Maurer column, Nov. 12] regarding Republican Party politics. This is the same conversation I have had within my family and with countless colleagues, friends and acquaintances. The thoughts of the party regarding the economy are wholly supported but everything else has become too repulsive to overcome. I hope that your column gets noticed by a national audience and is taken to heart by some powers that be.
