Keep Indianapolis Beautiful received a $325,000 Lilly Endowment grant to support the not-for-profit’s operating expenses in 2013.
The grant will pay for community gardens, tree plantings, youth programs, neighborhood projects and other beautification projects throughout the city.
Funding will also cover expenses for donor relations, community outreach and volunteer recruitment.
KIB has worked on some of the city’s largest projects over the past few years. The organization worked on a $2 million landscaping effort along Interstate-70 and coordinated Eli Lilly and Co.’s massive annual Day of Service.
