Service matches students with meaningful internships

Bruce Hetrick made a great point in his [March 11] column “Ten tips to help those seeking jobs or internships,” about how much stronger a résumé becomes when an internship experience is featured front and center. For most jobs that college graduates apply for, the diploma is a given. What makes candidates stand out in today’s job market is what they’ve done with that knowledge in a workplace.

Indiana INTERNnet offers an online internship matching service to help students find opportunities that supplement their classroom education. Our network is free, it’s statewide and most career fields are represented. Right now, there are more than 1,000 internships listed by employers that offer meaningful project work and networking opportunities.
