Hartmann USA Inc., which manufactures bandages, incontinence products and other health-care products, plans to close its plant in Bloomington, costing 72 workers their jobs.
Hartmann said Wednesday that it will move the Bloomington operations to its U.S. headquarters in Rock Hill, S.C., where it plans an $18 million expansion. The company said "a few" employees in Bloomington may be offered jobs in South Carolina.
The closure will be completed by mid-2014, the company said.
Hartmann USA is a division of Germany-based Hartmann Group.
