ICVA hires White Lodging vet for sales position

Hotel sales and marketing executive Michelle Travis is joining the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association as vice president of sales.

Travis is a veteran of 15 years in the hospitality industry. Since 2003, she has served as vice president of sales and marketing for Merrillville-based White Lodging Services, overseeing 65 hotels under five different brands. Her role with ICVA will include mentoring, coaching and developing the sales team.


Included in Travis’ duties with White Lodging has been overseeing pre-opening sales, marketing and budgeting for the 1,624-room Marriott Place complex, currently under construction at West and Washington streets. She also has served as the Indianapolis Market Director for downtown Marriott properties, including the 615-room Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.
