I absolutely cannot believe that some people are upset with the city for listening to its constituents and denying Hustler a permit [Hustler Hollywood sues city over zoning roadblocks, IBJ.com, Jan. 6].

The difference between Hustler’s denial and the other two existing adult stores in the area is that concerned residents and business owners got involved here, hired their own attorney and forced the city to follow the zoning laws.

Hustler tried to provide false information that it would not be an adult store, plain and simple. In addition, there has been no remodeling or stocking of the store. There has been absolutely no activity at their leased location.

The IBJ should do better reporting than just regurgitating Hustler’s talking points. All it takes is a simple drive by.
