Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has appointed a new press secretary after losing his previous one to the Indiana Commission for Education, his office announced Friday.
Rachel Hoffmeyer is replacing Stephanie Wilson, who has been in the position since Holcomb took office in 2017.
Wilson is rejoining the Indiana Commission for Education as an associate commissioner for strategy and external affairs. She previously served as communications director at the commission before joining the governor’s office.
Hoffmeyer joined the governor’s office as director of digital communications in November. She previously was executive editor of Franklin College’s student journalism program and publication, The Statehouse File.
An Indianapolis native, Hoffmeyer also worked as a TV news producer for KARK and KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as WISH-TV in Indianapolis.
