Letter: More can be done to encourage cycling

The bikeshare program is great [Pacers Bikeshare rolling out major expansion in 2019, Dec. 8].

I’d like to see more amenities for folks like me who like to ride our own bikes around town. We need more bike racks in secure, safe and lighted locations. Bike lockers would also be a great addition to help promote commuting in and out of downtown

Businesses should also be encouraged to help provide these types of amenities to employees and customers. Public transportation should also be more accessible to cyclists by providing a higher level of security and safety for bike/bus commuting, especially at and around the Transit Center.
