Indiana budget director resigning to join UIndy

State Budget Director Jason Dudich plans to resign to serve as vice president of the University of Indianapolis, Indiana officials said Friday.

Dudich is expected to work for the state through the end of the legislative session in mid-May. Gov. Eric Holcomb said he will appoint a replacement in the near future.

Holcomb appointed Dudich in 2017. The governor said the outgoing budget director "is an enthusiastic problem-solver."

Dudich also will serve as the university's chief financial officer and treasurer.
