I don’t understand why the city keeps saying there’s no place to house the homeless. Drive over to the VA Hospital, at 2601 Cold Springs Road. It has about 600 rooms in it and it has been abandoned for the last three years. It is a beautiful building and could easily “house” a lot of homeless people. Now, I understand it belongs to the United States and not to the city, but I don’t understand why nothing has been done with this architectural masterpiece. Take a drive past it and you’ll see what I mean.
