  1. Heck, let them play 20 seasons until they’re 40. It’s becoming triple A football thanks to whacked judges. May as well align every school with an NFL team while they’re at it. Soon you’ll have the girl’s field hockey team demanding equity with the same money as the star quarterback on the football team…and some woke judge will agree.

    1. It’s a big stretch from football to hockey, much less girls hockey. Good way to distract and incite outrage to bring across your “woke” point.

    2. Well Dan, it’s not a stretch. Look at what the WNBA wants; more welfare from the NBA. It’s all the same. Pay on equity and not performance and results.

    3. The WNBA just signed an 11 year, $2.2 billion dollar TV deal. Their salary cap is $1.5 million for a 12 person team.

      Maybe find a better example.

  2. I took 8 years to get my BS degree, but I was working full time outside of school. Nobody was letting me make a career out of being a student, or in this case a student athlete. It’s just going to get stranger with so much money up for grabs.

  3. Remember a time when it was a hilarious line in the movie “Animal House” when, upon learning their frat was going to be shut down and its members were being expelled, John Belushi said “Great, 6 years of college down the drain”… soon to be almost normal for athletes…
