Huston keeps going on about the huge economic development opportunities. Where’s that promised study that was going to confirm that, 7 years after we gave the farm away to data centers to locate here?
We continue to hear about the pros of data centers, yet never hearing much at all concerning cons. It really seems in certain areas where constituents push back even the more, government officials are more determined to roll over the resistance and allow the data centers to be built. This would be very poor representation of constituents. Hey state legislators, take time to break down every single detail of these data centers good and bad and let the people decide!
The biggest con to me would be adding electric infrastructure requirements due these data centers. The need to build new power plants. Who pays for that? Me and you I suppose.
Usually when the bond trustee visits and doesn’t see anything being finished when the financials said almost completed means… jail time. Can you imagine if you bought those bonds?
