I’ve never smoked one cigarette in my life but prices will be lower in all of our surrounding states so don’t be surprised when the revenue collected from sales actually goes down despite a tax increase. I guess all of those “state minimum” pricing signs you see in all the border towns can be sold to the neighboring states to use for the Indiana folks crossing the border to buy cigs.
Yeah, because the gas tax has really made a significant improvement in Indiana roads. What a laugher!
Indiana, and particularly Indianapolis has the worst roads I’ve ever seen. I’ve lived in 7 different states…the roads here are by far the worst. Indianapolis should be not only embarrassed but ashamed of their road conditions.
Indianapolis is robbed of most of the gas tax revenue it should get, which is spread out to keep gas taxes low for the rest of the state.
Even City County Council Republicans tell me not to blame Joe Hogsett for the roads, but to blame the Republicans in the Legislature who represent Marion County and do nothing every budget session for roads but use road funding to impose what they want the city of Indianapolis to do. Witness the latest effort to “help” with roads in Indianapolis, which came with strings attached and gave the city absolutely no credit for the NINE FIGURES in road funding they’re already spending out of the general fund on roads on top of the meager money returned from the state.
Apply the tobacco sin tax reasoning to ammunition to deter shooters bad behaviors . Use the revenue to pay the costs of treating gun shot victims
OK let’s break this down. 500 people shot per year. .75 per round= $375. IDK Charles I see where you were trying to go but not a great money maker.
