Letter: City Market deserves to be salvaged

Please save the City Market, a meaningful building that is part of our city’s heritage [“Potential transformation of City Market could cost up to $35M, report says,” IBJ.com, Sept. 30].

I’m glad the city is doing the work to be thoughtful about this downtown anchor. I love the Bottleworks food hall but I love the City Market more, and I want to see it given a fighting chance. A city is soulless without a thriving downtown; the City Market ought to remain at its heart.
