  1. I gave Carly more credit than this. I suggest, if she hasn’t already, do some deep research into who’s out there that is capable and likely to rebuild this depleted roster. It will take more than draft picks (no 1st rounders for 2 years). A great eye for undrafted free agents…and lot of ‘em. A Cignetti clone.

  2. Playoff caliber teams have a solid 53-man roster. That’s why they don’t whine and make excuses for injuries. NFL football is physical and injuries are expected. Great GMs prepare for this and succeed! Good GMs know it’ll happen and prepare. Sub-par GMs make excuses. Ballard is sub-par (and that’s me being nice!).

    1. well said. Worst GM in NFL history I believe was the stat I read recently. 9 years and still making excuses. How does anyone stay in a job that long with that sort of performance?

  3. Mediocrity is and has been the new norm for the Colts ever since the Peyton Manning/Bill Polian years. Maybe Ballard needs to have a conversation with Polian to learn how to properly draft not only talented players, but high IQ players who don’t take no for an answer.

  4. The years of mediocrity are not her fault but I had high hopes for Carly after her first press conference expressing higher expectations and standards. Colts ownership continues to be played.

  5. Why does anyone think this is going to change? This is old news, and the topic is exhausting. A tiger does not change its stripes. Ballard is never changing. I thought the ladies would figure this out. Leadership weakness has affected this whole organization for quite some time now. Very sad.
