If you work from the assumption that Silver wants to see as many players injured as possible, and wants to punish any team that allows players to rest when they need it, then it all makes sense.
Here is a simple and effective solution to many of the Pro Ball player concerns…
Players (and the entire team) only get paid for games that they WIN.
That should make for much more exciting basketball.
The league season should be 62 games. The players need to take about a 20% pay cut. There are simply too many games requiring all the load management issues that also get confused with tanking.
