If only half the routes and alignments of the trail were not forced and contrived, there could potentially be another 2-3 $Billion value established. So far only the upper Mass Ave section and all of Virginia Ave south of South Street have contributed to real development value, all the remainder have become only trail connections.
Trail connections are important. The better they are, the more people can make it to the more densely developed parts of the trail without needing a car to bridge the gap
It would be nice if they connect Cincinnati, the alley, between Real Silk and North St. It has a great brick base.
It also has 3 garage entrances/exits in that stretch for 2 condo buildings and a private residence.
Shoutout to the guy who was proclaiming last week that all of the cultural trail funding should go to road maintenance instead, as if the trail is largely funded by private philanthropy. Car brain is a mental illness and the cure is going on a nice walk or bike ride and saying hello to people you don’t know.
